Questions families ask us

What ages do you take?

From 6 weeks to 3 years, in three rooms: infants, toddlers and twos. The program table shows which schedules each room offers.

Do your teachers speak Spanish?

Yes. Miroslava and Yuliana speak Spanish and English with every family, and every page of this site is also in Spanish. Yolonda speaks English and sings in Spanish with the children. Ask us who will be in your child's room.

What does a day look like?

Arrival at the room door, floor play, meals, rest, the yard and pickup, each at your child's pace. The A day here page has the day, step by step.

What does it mean that Peekaboo is licensed?

That NCDHHS DCDEE, North Carolina's child care agency, licenses the center to care for children from 6 weeks to 3 years. The license number is at the bottom of every page, and you can ask to see the license at any tour.

How many children does each teacher care for?

Each room has its own number, set by age. It is on the license and ratios board and in the program table, so it is always the same in both places.

How does tuition work?

It depends on your child's room, the schedule and the days a week. Miroslava gives you the figures in writing at the tour. Read how it works on the Tuition page.

What is safe sleep here?

Babies sleep on their backs, in their own cribs, with nothing else in the crib. Toddlers and twos rest on cots after lunch.

What do babies eat, and how do we tell you?

Before the first day, Yuliana asks how and when your baby eats, in Spanish or English, and writes it down. You bring the milk or formula, and we feed your baby the way you do at home.

Do you share photos of my child?

Only with your written permission, and you can change your answer at any time. The Family policies page has our full answer.

How do I join the waitlist?

Book a tour, or call or message us, and tell us your child's age and the schedule you need. When a place opens in the right room, we call the family that has waited longest first.
